Ill Crate episode 23
And now, episode 23, which we call “The Aristo-Crate.” Seriously, this is probably the sickest, most depraved episode yet. And that’s not just because the Big Dawg joins us for the first time. Well, okay, it is.
Actually, we call this one “Devil Music,” because we hear and discuss various songs on various satanic themes, from bands as diverse as Soul Coughing, Gomez, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, Hayseed Dixie, and Squirrel Nut Zippers. We also have a special bonus request from Big Dawg which has less to do with Hell and more to do with body parts. Speaking of body parts, Padrino’s Weakly Disappointment talks about an experience no body part should ever have to go through, and Padrino and Big Dawg relate an, er, unforgettable tale of bodily functions. Oh, yeah, and there’s some things about Rock Star: INXS and Apple’s new iPod Nano.
And as if all that wasn’t fearsome enough… this episode is the longest one yet! We’ve broken the hour barrier! Egads!
Padrino also has a special message for you, which you can read below.
Ill Crate Episode 23 (64m17s, 29.4MB)
Special message from Padrino:
Dear Listener,
I would again like to apologize for the length of this week’s episode of the Ill Crate, and I would also like to apologize for the sound quality of the show. My “mini vacation” and several technical problems left me with precious few hours to throw the show together and the editing of this week’s show is shoddy, at best, however, I think the diligent listener will be rewarded and amply entertained! The original audio track was damaged near the end of the show; I fixed what I could without compromising, or losing any of the dialog, but a few minutes at the very end of the podcast might sound a bit “wet” or weird. I’m sorry. Thanks for hanging in there and I promise to deliver a cleaner version (both in content and quality) next time out.

The Aristo-Crate! Hahahaha, nice touch there L.G.! I was thinking of calling it the Scat Crate. I’m going to try and see if I can make it an entire episode without one scatological reference next time out.
READ MY LIPS! No New “Butt Banter” next episode!
Oh! to all of our listener, har har, the Ill Crate will take a one we(e/a)k powder, so that L.G. can enjoy his birthday week and help his mum move.
So if any of you out there have a musical “theme” to challenge us with, please comment . . . we’ll see if we might be able to accomodate you!

p.s. No, Bluebeard, we do not play “wrestling music” on the Ill Crate, if only because we do not know what it is!

It was great having you on the show, Dawg . . . hopefully we didn’t lose too much of our scant listenership.
Bluebeard, I don’t think we will be playing any wrestling songs on the show, however, I will wrestle you on the show, if you think you are man enough to withstand a “no-holds-barred,” best two-of-three fall match, against the Padrino Pythons!

hey padrino. maybe big dawg will be back the bike rack so we can ride the green river trail or fall city trail. how about some tracy lord. you keep saying your going to but you keep forgetting ?????????????????????
September 16th, 2005 at 1:28 pm
We’ve been promising a “Queen of All Media” show for quite some time, but we’ve been waiting for Traci to “do something.” Her last major endeavor was the release of her single “Sunshine,” but that was just before the Ill Crate podcast was born and we played that song on an early show. She has a film called “Sweet Pea” making the festival rounds right now. I was hoping to do the Traci show right after L.G. and I screen that film. It could be a while.

Im so happy JD made it to the final 3. He has done so well lately. I’d buy a ticket to see him anyday! Heard Jordis is guest singing for Camp Freddy. By the was Pads, if ya didn’t hear, I’ll be visiting in October. Can’t wait.

Kaser!
Can’t wait to see you! Maybe we can go out cycling together, no?
I’m glad that JD made it to the finals as well. Yes, he’s been doing very well lately. I think Pretty Vegas has really put him over the top. I’m still pulling for Marty myself. JD has zillions of supporters, but I’ve noticed that he has a lot of people who hate him too. That might hurt him a bit. I still think MiG will land the gig, which would kill L.G. and me, but I think we’d be happy with either JD or Marty. BTW, the new INXS CD will be called “Switch” and is scheduled to be out on Nov. 29.
See ya in a few weeks,

Hey Guys! Another great show…
I think my favorite part was the story about the “Brown River” Trail.
I just loved…and he came back and he was missing a sock. Then the second time…he was missing his other sock and his hat. I was dying. It was hilarious.
Beware of Apple Juice!
Looking forward to the next episode!
Hey, can you do a traffic report for me? It would probably be more helpful to me then the ones I get from KOMO- The commuters best (worst) friend.
Just kidding!!
Can I do a shout out or would it be a “long distance dedication”?

HEY padrino. bring it on you have no chance.I will pin you or make you tap out. so make room I will be there. your going down brother. becauce I`m taking you to school
September 20th, 2005 at 3:55 pm
Bluebeard eats it!
Aren! sorry I missed you at the big game.
The “Brown River” story is precious, isn’t it! And what is sad is that it was even twice as sick as it came across on the show! It was so surreal and funny as hell. The only bad thing was that he was in such awful pain, I mean, gut-wrenching, eye-watering pain. And the kicker was, after we finally got back on the bikes and started riding, it was only like 5 minutes and BOOM! there was a host of fast food joints that he could have ducked into to use a REAL bathroom and save half of his clothing! We just didn’t know it at the time, since our return route was different than the one we embarked on. Hahahaha. There is definitely never a dull moment in the presence of THE BIG DAWG!

Wrestling Intro music is the best.
Can I request Hulk Hogan’s intro song…I am a real American…fight for the rights of everyman…I am a real American…fight for what’s right…fight for you life….(guitar solo).
The old school intros were the best!
(YES! I USED to be into wrestling when I was younger…just loved it.) And I used to have a tape where some certain wrestling super stars sang there own songs…that would probably be worth something now!)
September 23rd, 2005 at 3:57 pm
Aren, I remember you were into wrestling. I also like a lot of the music, but I thought that it might be a little too mainstream for the Ill Crate. However, I’ll talk to L.G. and perhaps we can actually pull this off. We definitely owe it to our listeners to play something that they may want to hear. I’ll have to see if I can get hold of the music from Bluebeard. Of course he’ll be wanting to kick my ass for earlier comments here on the board, so I better buy some flowers before I ask. Now I see the Undertaker wants to kick my ass too. Ouch.
