Greetings, faithful Crate crusaders. This one’s all about punky Swedish rock dudes the Hives. Then in this week’s Weakly Disappointment, Padrino bemoans the Northwest weather, shoddy bowling balls, tenuous back muscles, and his Last.fm street cred. LG tried to make the Geek Zone short and sweet, then utterly fails. But he does talk about the Blue Frog (much better than the Crazy Frog) and a new radio for real radio geeks.

    Hey Fellas!

    Love the Hives…well as least what I have heard of them played on the radio. Their music is catchy.
    I have to say, Larry hit it right on the head, I liked “Walk Idiot Walk”…

    My weekly disappointment…Brad and Angelina….just kidding.

    Glad you’re still tuning in. The Hives are awesome. I’m so glad that L.G. turned me on to them. Now I have a “new favourite band.” “Walk Idiot Walk” is starting to really grow on me, as well. I really haven’t listened to any Kanye other than to boost my cred on Last.Fm (threw it on in the background while I was working on some graphic stuff), and even then it didn’t make enough of an impression to register or grab my attention. So, I don’t really know if it is good or not. I can only say that it failed to impress me; which means diddly, really. Especially when one considers that he’s made zillions . . . and I’m still a humble “thousandaire.” Oh well. Ciao, baby.

    I loved your whole bit about boosting your street cred on Last.fm…that was great. Kanye isn’t the BEST…but he has a few tunes that are catchy. They’ve got a good beat and you can dance to it…just kidding!
    So I hear they are running Rock Star for another season…they just don’t have a band yet…I think that would be a KEY part to the show. Maybe SpEnt fiXer could be the band??
    Well, I should probably get back to the J.O.B that pays my B.I.L.L.S!

    I’ll be waiting for the next podcast.
