I think he feels a heightened sense of awareness because more oxygen can get to his skull now. Seriously, I don't see anything wrong with his haircut. It's the first time I've seen him without long hair, and I've known him for nearly 14 years now. So a drastic change like that is bound to mess with someone's, er, head.
